What is in a name?

With all this creating going on, I am running out of gift recipients. I think I may start a business..... That is right. I go to on-line sites and see what other people have done and know I could do the same. I want to start a shop on Etsy.com. But I can't come up with a good name. Whatever I go with, I need to get labels printed to attach to my handmade items. Jon said he would help me with the design, but I need help with a name. I need something creative, yet not too long. Summerfield is a ridiculously long name, but I would incorporate it if it is used with something catchy. Cara Creates and Cara's Creations are already taken. Apparently all my creativity is being sucked into my projects, and I am struggling to come up with something snappy. Any suggestions?

Do you have a target product? i.e. if you're going to primarily post your fantastic knitted baby caps and little onesies, maybe it's something like "Cara's Cuddlies". But maybe it's something different if your target product is women's sweaters.....

How about Summerfield Sensations? Long I know, but I like it. It's not directed toward any certain item, so you can make and sell all that you want.

Sorry I'm late on commenting here...

I actually think Summerfield is a nice name on it's own. I don't think it's too long--even for a tag. To me in conjures images of fields....in the summer. :) But really, it kind of does have a easy, breezy country-ish sound to it.

I do love your quilts! I have been quilting for a looong time but haven't done much in the last several years because I've been knitting. The fabric is absolutely what attracts me. I also like traditional quilts though. I think the mix of fabrics makes quilts so interesting. Keep making quilts and your ideas will flow. Summer Sews is a name that comes to mind but it's not my favorite. Maybe something around the name Summer? How about just Cara Summer? Just Summerfield is good too. Have you figured out whether you can actually make money selling your quilts? I've found it's difficult to get paid what your time is actually worth. Good luck!

Creatively Cara or Crafty Cara or C.S. Designs... (and I like Summerfield Sensations, too!)
